Happy International Women's Day! - Nurture Life Coaching

I honor all the women who came before me and blazed trails that give me life and hope. From Suffragettes like Emmeline Pankhurst to Civil Rights Activists like Angela Davis, strong and determined women have pushed back against oppression and discrimination. And we have much to still learn about being feminists and holding an intersectional lens; watch Kimberlé Crenshaw speak on this important topic.

Today I’m appreciating local community members who call attention to the need to support women-owned businesses. And I want to add that I stand strongly for all women, trans and cis. This recent post by Nora’s Kitchen included my business as one to support in Portland, Oregon. Thanks friends!

I really do understand what it feels like to lose your way. Because I have lived through the dark moments of self-doubt and hit the walls of seemingly impossible obstacles, I am even more passionate about seeing my clients thrive. In the past 15 years, my life has changed so much. I have a life partner who is a writer/photographer/journalist and together we had a second son, now ten years old. I have a close relationship with my grown son; we love to hit the ski mountain together and we have long talks about most everything.
